Earning CISSP is not simply a matter of passing an exam. ISC2 treats the certification as a combination of demonstrated knowledge, professional experience, endorsement, ethics, and ongoing maintenance. That makes the path different from entry-level credentials where passing the test is the main requirement.<\/p>\n
The current CISSP exam covers eight security domains and uses computerized adaptive testing. Candidates see between 100 and 150 items in a maximum of three hours, and the passing score remains 700 out of 1000. The exam is broad by design because CISSP is intended to validate security judgment across architecture, risk, operations, identity, networking, software, and governance rather than deep specialization in one product.<\/p>\n
