Hi and welcome to the course. So let’s get started with the sales force. Sales cloud certification First, let me introduce you to the exam guide for the certification. The course will follow the exam guides so that you can relate to and learn everything that might come up in the examination. So this is the trailhead link, and you can use it to get yourself familiar with the Sales Cloud Certification and this exam guide. I’ll leave the link to this page in the resources section of this video. Now this is the full exam guide; it’s the most recently updated, and you can simply scroll down to see all the details that you need to have regarding this examination. Essentially, Sales Cloud Certification is intended for consultants who have implemented Sales Cloud solutions in a more customer-facing role.

The candidate must be a proven expert and have experience with the administration and configuration of a Salesforce application. And basically, the Sales Cloud Consultant should be able to successfully design, implement, and maintain the Sales Cloud platform, which should meet the customer’s requirements. And if you want to get into a more consulting role, then this certification is perfect for you. So a sales cloud consultant designs and deploys solutions that support customer business processes and requirements. Furthermore, the consultant wishes to demonstrate its expertise as a sales cloud computing implementation. And they should have some experience in the salesforce business. analyst or an administrator before going into this examination, as this will really help you have the upper hand, and Salesforce admin certification is a prerequisite for this examination. Now this is the “about” section of the exam, so let’s get ourselves familiar with what to expect in the examination.

Now there will be 60 multiple-choice questions and five non-scored questions, and the time allotted to complete the exam is 105 minutes, and the passing percentile is 62. You can simply try these out and read all of them; this will also help you understand what to expect from a Sales Cloud Consultant and what skills are required to get this certification. Now let’s take a look at the exam outline. Now the first section is the industry knowledge, which basically explains the factors that influence sales metrics, KPIs, and business challenges. And we are going to see all of these sections one by one in this course. Then the next is implementation strategies, where we will learn and determine how to facilitate a successful consulting engagement. And we are going to learn how to plan a project, how to gather requirements from the client, how to design and build salesforce.org, and how to test and document various processes.

Then comes the design of the sales cloud solution. Now this is where you design your end-to-end sales process, from lead to opportunity to code and everything else that your clients require. Now, in this section, we will learn about various objects such as accounts, opportunities, opportunity teams, and the effects on sales roles, visibility, access, and reporting as well. We’ll learn about page layouts, record types, sales processes, lead processes, and how to implement various techniques in the Salesforce Mobile application. Then the next is opportunity management, which is basically an object used for sales, and we are going to see in depth how to use the opportunity object, which is a standard object in Salesforce, to meet your business requirements. Then we have sales productivity, which revolves around the idea of how to use Salesforce to increase your sales productivity. Then sales cloud analytics, where we are going to see the reports and dashboards, and then at the end, data integration and management, where we are going to see how to use some basic integrations that are given out of the box by sales. Salesforce, as well as how to use validations and manage large data sets in Salesforce. So before we get started, I highly recommend that you go through this link once so that you can get yourself familiarized with the examination guide and everything that has been required by a consultant.

  1. Sign up for Free Salesforce Account

So, as a first step, we set you up with your own salesforce.org account where you can practise and learn salesforce. Simply open your web browser and type in developer salesforce.com, and you’ll see a sign up button at the top. Here you can simply click on it, and a new form appears up. Now fill up this form. So enter your name, first name, last name, and the email address you want to be associated with your salesforce.org user. Then you can add your role to your company.

Now add a username that will be associated with logging into your salesforce. It’s usually a good idea to add your username as the signing email address and append that email address with a word that will generally help you remember this. For example, dev, support, or anything else that will help you remember the username associated with your salesforce.org So in our case, I’m going to add the word “freelance” at the end. So the sales force has sent us an email to us for the confirmation of this. You can simply click on this “verify account” link that is appearing in your email, and once you click, you’ll be asked to set a password for your salesforce.org account. So you can simply set a new password and click on “Change password.” You have now successfully logged into your new salesforce account.

By default, you’ll be able to see the setup page, and from here you will be able to control and add many features to your salesforce. And at the top left-hand side, you’ll be able to see this grid-like structure if you click on it. So this is the app launcher. Here you’ll be able to see all the apps that are associated with you, and this comes out of the box from Salesforce. When you first sign up for any service such as sales or marketing, all these apps are available.

So if you click on the Sales app, you’ll be able to see the home page of your app. Now you can simply click on various tabs to access various objects, data, and records if you want. So this is the Salesforce Lightning user interface, where you can see the tabs associated with each object at the top. And if you want to go back to your setup, simply click on the gear icon at the top right corner of your salesforce.org and click on the Setup button. And here you will be able to go to the setup page again. You can search for anything in Quick Find that appears on the left hand side from here, and you can simply navigate salesforce.org. to better understand if this is your first time working with Lightning.
